Manhattan College and Amadeus have partnered for the
past 8 years to deliver highly popular
graduate distance learning courses. Students are given a CD-Rom with an entire semester's
lectures. After viewing the course lecture, at their leisure, they are given assignments
and exams that are also delivered and submitted electronically. They can communicate
with the professor throughout the semester either via email or at assigned virtual
classroom sessions.
The flexibility these courses offer benefits not only the students but the faculty
as well. The coursework can remain sound to theory throughout the years or be dynamic
and adaptive to new advancements. Any changes to that day’s lectures can be handled
by our staff within hours.
The size of the class increases because of
the appeal of its flexibility and its proven efficacy. Manhattan College's department of engineering has been able to deliver coursework even to soldiers
around the world without compromising the faculty expertise and the LaSallian teaching
tradition. Surveys and evaluations submitted after every course have proven this
to be not only a popular learning method but a more effective method of delivering
education. Material comprehension and retention were on par or improved by the use of
this technique.
